Terms of service

The rules for buying and selling on TUNU.

What TUNU is

TUNU is a marketplace for pre-owned occasionwear in Dar es Salaam. Sellers list dresses they own; TUNU reviews each listing before it is published; buyers ask questions and arrange fittings over WhatsApp before paying by Mobile Money. By using TUNU, you agree to these terms.

Selling on TUNU

You may only list a dress you own and have the right to sell. Photos and descriptions must accurately represent the item. TUNU reviews every submission and may request changes or reject a listing; approval is at TUNU's discretion. Listing a dress does not guarantee it will sell, and TUNU may remove a published listing at any time.

Buying on TUNU

All sales are final. There are no returns, exchanges, or refunds once a sale is confirmed, so use the WhatsApp conversation and fitting to be certain before you pay. A listing is marked sold only after TUNU independently verifies the Mobile Money payment.

Prohibited conduct

You may not list counterfeit, stolen, or misrepresented items; attempt to buy or sell outside the WhatsApp/Mobile Money process described here; harass another user; or attempt to circumvent TUNU's review process. We may suspend or close an account for any of these.

Your photos and content

You keep ownership of the photos and descriptions you submit. By listing a dress, you give TUNU permission to display that content on the marketplace for as long as the listing is live.

No warranty

TUNU reviews listings for completeness and reasonableness but is not a guarantee of an item's authenticity, condition, or fit beyond what is stated in the listing. TUNU connects buyers and sellers; it does not manufacture or previously own the dresses sold.

Disputes

If something goes wrong, contact TUNU first — see the Contact page. These terms are governed by the laws of Tanzania.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as TUNU changes. We will update the date below when we do.

Draft terms, written 2 August 2026. This has not yet had a formal legal review and should not be treated as final until it has — including the final-sale policy, dispute process, and business registration details.
